Services

I provide coaching, therapy and training that addresses the root cause of the challenges you face and supports you to find a place of strength from which to grow your professional and personal life. My focus is on helping clients find their own strength and their own way to thrive within the challenges that their unique life brings.

I work from a systemic perspective, which means that I consider your challenges and goals within the context of the relationship systems to which you belong and the loyalties, values and perspectives that come with them. These systems may include family, culture, personal biography, the dynamics within your workplace or team, the culture and history of your organisation, and so on. In this way we honour and harness the seen and the unseen dynamics that inform your professional and personal life. I support you to find strength in and with them and to learn new skills so that you can move forwards with confidence and alignment. I am completely dedicated to bringing out the best in all our clients no matter what they are facing. Our work together will strive for your potential.

I have three core offerings lawyer coaching and training; executive coaching; systemic coaching including workshops.

My calling as a coach was born out of his personal experiences grappling with the demands of performing at the top end of the legal profession.  I achieved conspicuous success early in his legal career, twice winning UK Chambers and Partners’ prestigious Junior Barrister of the Year award and taking silk at the young age of 42. Yet I faced many of the personal challenges that high performing professionals confront daily – fear of failure, perfectionism, imposter syndrome, over-work, poor boundaries and life-work balance, and physical exhaustion. Finding nowhere to turn for support, I eventually succumbed to burn out, family break down and physical collapse in 2014.

I then faced the question: give up, or find a better way of living and working?

Fortunately I found the right support that allowed me to chose to find a better way, and I embarked on several years of deep, patient attention to my own issues and challenges, studying and absorbing learning from disciplines beyond the world of law.

This led to a joyful return to full-time bar practice on his own terms.

I found the results so strengthening that I trained in the same coaching and therapy that I had received himself, so that I could support others to overcome their own challenges. As well as maintaining a busy law and coaching practice, I teaches systemic therapy and coaching alongside experienced BACP registered psychotherapists at the Centre for Systemic Constellations, a leading school for systemic change work in the UK.

I support my own professional development with my own coach, and I receive regular supervision from the leading Gestalt therapist and systemic coach Judith Hemming.
